Daily Functioning of the Trust
It would be unusual for any person who fits the above criteria to come forward and ask the DOB Benevolent Trust for assistance. It is therefore incumbent upon every person within the Dilworth Community to be proactive and provide information which will enable the Trustees to take whatever action they deem to be appropriate in offering assistance in needy situations.
The assistance that Trustees can offer is not necessarily limited to financial payments for medical care or
counselling, and may in some instances not even involve financial payments for any reason, but rather to provide communication and even visitation for those in need.
The Trustees will therefore treat any communication which comes from any source with sensitivity and confidentiality. Please do not hesitate to write to communicate the information you may have; or in some other way, to any one of the Trustees listed below.

Bequests and Donations
The funds with which this Trust is able to function have primarily been donated by former and present Old Boys of the School. A proportion of these funds which are not required for immediate use are invested in interest bearing deposits.
Any Old Boy who feels inclined to add to the Trust funds should have no hesitation in making arrangements to send a cash payment addressed to any one of the above, or if preferred, by writing a suitable bequest into his
will.
All donations and bequests will be acknowledged and receipted. The Benevolent Trust is a registered Charitable Trust. (Registration number CC22683 : 9th April 2008) All donations are eligible for tax rebates within New Zealand.
