Friday night Meet and Greet at the Mount Ocean Sports Club (cnr The Mall and Salisbury Ave), a brilliant venue right on the water, in the upstairs function room. Starts at 6pm and goes on as late as you want. We know some of you will not be  arriving from Auckland until about 8pm – so come on down as there will be platters of finger food, a bar and many good people awaiting your arrival. No charge.

    Saturday August 14 Day

The weather forecast for Saturday is heavy rain – so that will affect any outdoor activities. These are the activities we have organised for Saturday. Some are weather dependant, so will not be available in the event of inclement weather. In this case the pool, spas, pubs, pool halls and indoor golf driving range look the best options. We want to thank Doug and Ruth St.George for opening their house and providing such a great option for the day – especially if the weather is bad.

    1. Doug and Ruth St.George have opened their home; they have an acre of beautiful woodland garden and have built a rather unique home. 6 Clydesburn Ave, Tauranga. See the map later in this document. You are invited to their place for soup and toast at midday – which will be great on a cold wet day. Ph 573 8399
    2. Snappers Indoor Golf Driving Range – can handle 10 at a time. $10
    3. GameOn Blokart sailing – weather dependant. (between 12 and 3pm) The lady there has my number and will call if the weather looks like been ok. $30 for 30 minutes.
    4. GameOnLaser claybird shooting – weather dependant.  (between 12 and 3pm) The lady there has my number and will call if the weather looks like been ok. $10 per 50 clays
    5. Tauranga Waterfront Proposal – Attend the public event on Saturday 10am – 2pm (on the Kestral which is moored at the Edgewater Fan) where you can see the proposed development plans for the Tauranga waterfront and even meet project team members.
    6. BOP Steamers vs. Auckland. Kick off at 2:35pm at Bay Park Stadium. Seats are $20 for Gold seats and $15 for Blue seats (Game ends about 4:10pm).
    7. BayWave – largest indoor wave pool in New Zealand, plus a hydroslide, plus spas and saunas.
    8. Mount Maunganui Hot Water Salt Pools – $9.90
    9. Fernlands Hot Mineral Spa – $7.00
    10. Pool and a beer at the Astrolabe
    11. Karaoke at the Stock XC hange starts at 8:30pm on Saturday and goes through to midnight. I promised the Bar Manager I would let her know asap how many of our guys will be heading over there and roughly when – in case they need to put on extra staff. The guy who runs the Karaoke here is apparently very very good.
    12. DOBA Shared Room – we have a shared room at The Beaumont which will be a place you can sit down at and have a drink and a chat. We will keep the room stocked with refreshments and snacks.

Please contact Mark on mark@azurebell.co.nz, or 0275757409 or 07 5787883, to get included in one of these activities.
